Maui is home to some of the best sunsets in the world and also boasts delectable cuisine at gorgeous seaside restaurants. You can take full advantage of dinner time, no matter your price range. Here are my picks for the best affordable dining on Maui.

We have cross-checked our picks with top sites like Maui Magazine, Pride of Maui, and Tripadvisor to make sure we're offering you the best dinner deals to enjoy in Maui.

2511 S. Kihei Rd., Kihei — (808) 891-8600

It’s always a bummer to be charged for bread and butter, or chips and salsa when dining out, but that definitely won’t happen here. The inviting vibe, delicious items like chicken taquitos and frozen margaritas, and the superb service make Fred’s a standout.

Fred’s is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 9 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am to 9 pm.

This spot serves Hawaiian-inspired Filipino Asian cuisine. The quality is high and the price is just right.  Serving locally sourced ingredients. Their Lahaina location is temporarily closed because of the wildfire, but you can visit them here, or at their new place Balai Pata in Kahului. There's an array of dishes on the menu, but the Guinisang Manila Clams and Kalua Pork and Cabbage are where it’s at!

Open daily 10 am to 2 pm and dinner from 4 pm to 8 pm, and are grateful for your business.

2435 Kaanapali Pkwy, Lahaina — (808) 661-4495 Reserve on OpenTable

This popular, award-winning restaurant sources its produce from over 40 family-owned Maui farms and receives fresh locally sourced fish every day. One of the best places to take in a Maui sunset, its menu has something for everyone, including a wide assortment of appetizers, salads, local Hawaiian plates, barbecue ribs, and the famous Kimo’s Original Hula Pie.

Leilani’s beach bar is open daily from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm and the dining room from 4:30 pm to 9 pm.

100 Wailea Ike Dr., Wailea — (808) 874-7499 — Reserve on OpenTable

It’s all about freshness and family at Manoli’s. Named after the owner’s father, who hailed from the Greek Island of Crete, the family tradition of plentiful seafood, vegetables, and fruit continues here on Maui. Organic and sustainable products are used whenever possible in crafting menu items.

Manoli’s is open daily for dine-in, takeout, and delivery. Dine-in hours are from 11 am to 12 am. Delivery is available daily from 4 pm to 9 pm. Manoli’s would be delighted to serve you.

To say Monkeypod Kitchen gets repeat customers is an understatement. Guests are known to eat here every day, and with winning items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ranging from their Lobster Deviled Eggs to Ahi Steak with Jalapeño Mashed Potatoes, who’s to blame them? Be sure to check out the happy hour from 3:30 pm to 5 pm daily.

Monkeypod is open every day from 11 am to 10 pm and is grateful for your patronage.

60 S. Kihei Rd., Apt. 109, Kihei — (808) 875-6666

The packed parking lot says it all. Many claim this restaurant ranks among the top Indian spots in the world and they aren’t wrong. Recently remodeled, Monsoon India serves classic tandoori dishes, butter chicken, kabobs, and perfectly baked naan. Wash it all down with a cold pilsner for an enlightening experience with an oceanfront view.

Lunch is offered Wednesday through Sunday from 11:30 am to 2 pm. Dinner is served daily from 5 pm to 9 pm. Monsoon is grateful for your business.

780 Haiku Rd, Haiku (808) 575-2939

This intimate, little 50-seat contemporary Japanese Izakaya and sushi bar is tucked away in one of Maui’s North Shore small towns.  The menu has an array of small plates, hand rolls, specialty rolls, noodles, and salads.  No reservations are required.  They’ve got everything you need for a great meal in Maui.

Open daily for lunch from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm and for dinner from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
